Well, when you consider that 44% of the US population believes that the Rapture is likely to occur in their lifetime and in order for that to happen we need to drive towards armageddon - I'd say that the <em>average</em> citizen believes things are right on schedule. I think another significant group is either just trying to keep their heads above water or believe themselves to be above it all. Then there are people like me who just sit here wondering when the Ministry of Information is going to show up. Buttle, is it? Why isn’t the average US citizen screaming for impeachment?
